What is the minimum age for renting a car?
To rent a car from us you must be at least 23 years old and have a valid driving license for at least 5 years. Tenants under the age of 23 pay a "Young Driver" fee, which is applied per day and a guarantee deposit of 100% above the standard. We would also like to inform you that restrictions at the discretion of the staff are possible.
What additional fees do I have to pay when renting a car?
The price of your booking voucher is due at the time of renting the car, and no additional fees are charged, such as local, airport and others.
What is the procedure for technical damage to the rented car?
In case of damage to the car, you must contact us via the phone numbers listed in the rental agreement, which are available 24 hours a day. We commit to assist as soon as possible and, if necessary, to replace the car you rented with another.

Is the toll included in the price?
The price includes toll - vignette for the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Are rental cars suitable for winter conditions?
When booking directly on the website of "EDI Rent A Car" or in the office of the company, you do not pay for winter equipment. Only snow chains are charged extra. All cars are prepared for driving according to the season. When booking through the sites of some of our partners, there may be a fee for winter equipment, which is paid on the spot.
Is there a discount for regular customers?
Regular customers of "EDI Rent A Car Bulgaria" receive an additional discount, which is based on the number of reservations made.
How can I make an online car rental reservation the next day?
We recommend that you book as early as possible or at least a few days before the rental date. Please call +359 889 021 020 if the rental start date is in the next 24 hours.
How does the promo code for a rental car work?
The promo code allows an additional discount on the price of the rented car.
What should be done if it is necessary to go abroad with a rental car?
You can note that you want to visit another country in the booking process, and in the comment specify which country. The following documents are required: passport / ID card details and driver's license, no later than 3 working days before the start of the rental. You can send the documents via e-mail or upload them directly during the reservation or from your account as well. These documents are needed in order to prepare a power of attorney or a green card for going abroad. A one-time administrative fee is charged, depending on the rented car class. A double deposit is required.
I made a reservation on the site, what's next?
You will automatically receive an e-mail. Within 24 hours after sending the reservation, after the payment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and then your voucher for the reservation.
When will I receive my booking voucher?
Upon confirmation of the reservation, we will send you an e-mail with your voucher.
Can car rental reservation dates be changed?
Dates may also change, but it is advisable not to do so at the last minute so that we can be able to take the needed actions on time.
Can I cancel my car rental reservation?
This is possible, of course. Reservations can be canceled / changed up to 72 hours before the start of the rental period, free of charge. If the reservation is canceled less than 72 hours before the start of the rental period, a fee of 20% of the final rental price will be charged, but not less than the rental price of the car for 1 day.
Will my money be refunded in case of cancellation?

What is the procedure if my flight is canceled / changed?
You must send us your flight number at the time of booking or at the latest on the day before the start of the rental period. Car rental agents follow our flight schedules, but you must inform us in advance of the change.
What should I bring when renting a car?
The required documents are: a valid Driver's License, Passport or ID Card and Credit Card for the deposit.

What is the procedure for renting a car?
The rental agreement will be completed and you will receive a copy of it. You will pay the rent and additional extras, if any. A full prepayment can be made before the start of the rental. You can take out additional insurance. Your credit card deposit will be authorized (unblocked after the end of the rental). You will inspect the car for damage. If any scratches or other damage are present, they will be noted in the contract or documented via photographs.
What is a refundable deposit?
The deposit is a certain amount of money that is withheld when renting the car. The money remains blocked on your card until the end of the rental period, and it serves as a pledge to cover the cost of repairs in case of damage (does not apply in case of purchased Full protection and the presence of a protocol from the Police) or in case of lack of fuel , GPS, etc. The deposit can be left in cash only with the explicit consent of the agent or office manager, and the amount in cash is increased by 100%.
What happens if I am late in returning the rented car?
If the customer is late with the return without informing about it and without having a written consent from us, a fee will be charged. In case of delay in returning the car after the expiration of the rental agreement without notice, the client is charged as follows: From 1 hour to 4 hours - half a rental day; over 4 hours to 8 hours - 1 rental day, over 8 hours - 3 rental days and for each subsequent day delay.
Can there be more than 1 driver?
Each subsequent driver is included in the contract and a fee of 1.50 € per day (max. 30 €) is paid.
What happens if I have an accident while renting?
In case of an accident, be sure to call the contact phone number of the company specified in the lease agreement, as well as phone number 112 to inform the competent authorities (Police).
Can I extend the rental period during the rental?
You must inform us in advance that you want to extend the rent. You will be asked to visit an EDI Rent A Car office to sign a new contract. In case of impossibility to extend the rental of the specific car, due to its entry into a new rental, we will offer you an alternative.
What happens if I return the car earlier than expected?
The price for your entire rental is recalculated according to the standard price list, for the used period + 3 rental days or in cases when the client decides to return the rented car earlier than the date specified in the contract, he must notify at least 48 hours before the return, as well as to receive up to 50% of the daily rent summed up for the remaining unused days of the contract. When this agreement is not met, we reserve the right to withhold the full amount for the unused days of the contract. For the months of June, July and August, amounts for unused days of the contract are not refunded if the client has not notified his intentions at least 7 (Seven) days in advance.
What happens if I lose my car keys or documents?
You must report this immediately. The fee for lost documents is: € 200 (including loss of a CD panel). The fee for lost keys is also € 200.
What happens if the rental car is returned damaged?
In the absence of the relevant insurance and / or protocol from the police, the client is liable for damages up to the amount of the damage repair.
When is my credit card deposit unblocked?
On the day you receive the car, the amount of the deposit is blocked / authorized / on your credit card, and then unblocked / cancellation of the authorization / as soon as the car is checked upon its return.
